Established in 1992, L A Hughes & Associates is a sole proprietor operated business with connections to over a dozen top trained, experienced HR and mediation professionals, serving mainly the Southern California area. L A Hughes & Associates focuses on HR and community training, group facilitation and mediation of school, workplace and employment claims.
LA Hughes is a member of the Antelope Valley Black Chamber of Congress, the Palmdale Women's Club and leads the Mediation Roundtable and was appointed by Mayor Jim Ledford to serve on the City of Palmdale Planning Commission.

Hughes holds a law degree from Peoples College of Law (Los Angeles), a Master's in conflict management and has been a mediator and trainer in the private and public sectors in Southern California since 1989.
She has taught at Santa Monica College, L A Trade Tech Labor Studies Program and current teaches at the Antelope Valley College.
Hughes has mediated workplace & discrimination claims for the United States Postal Service's Redress program since its inception in 1997.
